Artist Details:Paul Guiramand was born in Saint-Quentin, France and moved to Paris in the early thirties to study under the artist Maurice Brianches. He attended L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts and was influenced by the work of Matisse and Bonnard. The creative themes of his work generally included images relating to music, horses and flowers. He was also a theatre and set designer as well as a painter and print-maker. Collections of his work are held at the Museum d'Art Modern de Ville de Paris, National Gallery of France, the Art Institute of Chicago among others. His first one-man exhibition was at the Herzog Gallery, Houston Texas with others in New York and Chicago.
