Artist Details:Adolf Appian was born and worked in Lyon although his prints were printed and published in Paris. He was a friend and student of Corot and Daubigny and much influenced by the Barbizon School of plein-air painters. He shared the Impressionists interest in light and instilled it into his etchings.
