Description:Illustrated by Charles Ricketts and Charles Shannon and published by Elkin Mathews and John Lane 1893 1st edition. Original green cloth titled in gilt on spine. 107 pages on hand-made paper illustrated throughout with wood-engraved initial letters and illustrations by Ricketts & Shannon. A little wear to top and bottom of spine, top corner bump o/w a very good tight copy internally fine and free of spotting throughout. Small bookplate on front fixed e.p. The first of the "Vale" publications prior to the opening of the Vale Press in 1896.
