Printed on a sheet of white wove paper c.35.5 x 28 cm.initialled and dated in the plate and signed and dated in pencil in lower margin. Frederick Austen RE. won the Prix de Rome at the Royal College of Art in 1927. He was the brother of the etcher and engraver Robert Sargent Austen. Examples of his work are held in the BM and V&AM.
