William Kempster

Printed in grey with over painting in black and purple by the artist on a sheet of thick white paper c.63.5 x 51 cm. A working proof and probably unique in this state. William Kempster studied at the Wimbledon School of Art under Gerald Cooper 1937-9 and at the Royal College of Art 1939-42 under Ernest Tristram. He exhibited at the R.A. Summer Exhibition in 1973 and 1974 and his work is illustrated in Future and in Lilliput and other publications. Kempster was a fine and adventurous printmaker. More examples by this artist in stock.
