Anders Leonard Zorn, Swedish painter and etcher, was born in Yvraden near the village of Utmeland in the parish of Mora,Dalama. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Art in Stockholm 1875-1880. Travelled extensively to London.Paris,the Balkans,Spain,Italy and the U.S.A. In London in 1882-83 he was taught the art of etching by the artist Axel Herman Haig. By the early years of the 20th.cent. he established a considerable market for his etchings in America through his regular visits and exhibitions.
