Barbara Greg R.E. S.W.E. studied at the Slade c.1919-1923 and later at the Central School and Westminster College of Art until c.1927. She married the artist Norman Janes in 1925 who had trained her in wood-engraving at the Slade. She illustrated books mainly on natural history and countryside themes and contributed to various magazines including Country Life among others. Exhibited R.A. R.E. and with the Society of Wood Engravers from c.1928.
