Charles Francois Daubigny was the best known of the Barbizon printmakers and etched a series of 15 etchings from his boat “Le Botin” published in 1861 and issued by Cadart in Paris. He was among the greatest French landscape painters of the nineteenth century. Daubigny etched some 65 plates of which 45 were illustrations.
