David Young Cameron RE.studied at Glasgow School of Art and began to etch in 1887. In his early career he illustrated a number of books with etchings and also issued “Sets” of etchings such as The Clyde Set and the North Italian Set (1895). He produced some 500 etchings and these are catalogued by Frank Rinder in his D.Y.Cameron, An Illustrated catalogue of his Etchings and Drypoints 1887-1932.
