Dorothy Sweet

Dorothy F. Sweet was a talented English engraver and etcher of landscapes and architectural views, Dorothy Sweet first began to exhibit her art in the early 1920′s with the Abbey Gallery, London, and with the Society of Women Artists. The majority of her art depicted scenes in and around the London area. She was equally skilled at dry point engraving, etching and colour printmaking.
It is believed that with the beginning of the Great Depression in 1930, Dorothy Sweet, like so many other talented artists, was forced to abandon her career.
