Frank Short
Sir Frank Short exhibited at the RA and RI, he won gold medals at the Paris Salons and has always been recognized as a great teacher especially of etching processes. He revived the art of the mezzotint and interpreted the masters notably Turner as here. Ref. the various catalogues by Martin Hardie and Robin Garton’s British Etchers.
