Hugh Deane was a Kensington based artist and book illustrator about whom very little is known. He gives an address as 6, Stoner Road, Kensington W14 and worked on magazine and periodical illustrations. He illustrated a few books including ‘A Voyage to Arcturus’ by David Lindsay, (1946). ‘Ten Little Chelas’ by Michael Juste published by the Atlantis Book Shop (1947) and a frontispiece to Hoffmann’s ‘Nutcracker’ for the Neptune Press in 1947.
