Margaret Sterling Dobson born Galashiels, Scottish Borders,
was educated at Edinburgh College of Art, 1908-10. Began to exhibit in 1905 at the R.S.A. (Royal Scottish Academy) and later at the Society of Women Artists and at the R.A. (Royal Academy) in London. Exhibited at the Royal Society of Painter Etchers and elected Associate in 1917. She died in the Isle of Wight in 1965.
