Max Liebermann
Max Liebermann studied at the Weimar Kunstschule (1868-72) before going to Holland and Paris to study (1872-76).Best known as a German impressionist painter, he was also a prolific printmaker and book illustrator. He became President of the Berlin Sezession and Professor at the Akademie Der Kunst in 1898.
