Pierre Auguste Renoir
The Impressionist painter Pierre Auguste Renoir was born in Limoges in 1841. He came late in life to printmaking starting in the 1890’s. His studies were mostly of close friends and family members. He made 25 etchings which were first published towards the end of the artists life or shortly after his death in Cagnes in 1919.
