Winifred M. Thridgould was an illustrator and wood-engraver working c.1920’s /30’s in England. She illustrated at least one book with wood-engravings titled ‘Wild Life on Moor & Fell’ by W.R.Calvert published in 1937. Her independent wood-engravings are hand-printed on fine tissue thin japon and rarely encountered today. They are of high quality and bear some resemblance to the early work of the circle of Ian Macnab and it is possible that she was a student of his.
