Yootha Rose.

Yootha Madge Millais Rose (Royal Toy Maker), was born in Melbourne Australia in 1899. She moved to England with her family and when she was eighteen, joined a concert party and entertained the troops in the first world war. She went on to become a set designer for various west-end musicals. In later years, she became a toy designer and made toys for the Royal family including Prince Charles and Princess Anne in the 1940’s/1950’s. There was a retrospective exhibition held at the Royal Pavilion Art Gallery and Museum in 1977. I can offer a number of original watercolour designs of toys/dolls by this artist.
