William Blake
William Blake joined the Drawing School of William Pars at the age of ten and was apprenticed to the engraver James Basire entering the RA Schools in 1779 and exhibiting there from 1780. He was a commercial engraver and engraved plates and book illustrations after other artists such as Fuseli as well as publishing his own work.
