Printed on a sheet of Arches hand-made paper c.24 x 17 cm. by the master printer’s Coulouma in Argenteuil, France. One of a series of illustrations to “Jesus La Caille” by Francis Carco as published by Emile Hazan & Co. Paris 1929 in a limited edition. Andre Dignimont studied at the Academie Julien in Paris. He exhibited at the Galerie Bernier and the Galerie Charpentier and many other Paris Salons of the 1920’s and 30’s. He subjects were mainly of the streets and brothels of low-life Paris.
