Printed/painted on a sheet of cream wove paper c.27 x 20 cm. Signed with initials bottom right of subject. A unique trial proof extensively over painted in yellow, purple and black wash as guide for the colour wood blocks for the finished woodcut as published in the jugendstil magazine Avalun published in Munich in 1901 in a limited edition of 300 copies.
