Hans Orlowski

Published in Potsdam by Offizin Eduard Stichnote in 1946 in an edition of 500 copies signed by the artist. Consisting of title page with list of contents signed in pencil by the artist, ten loose original woodcuts printed on textured laid paper from the blocks, each initialled by the artist in pencil, all contained in the original paper portfolio as issued. Hans Orlowski studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Berlin-Carlottenburg 1911-1915 and became teacher there 1921-1945. Had his first exhibition in Berlin after WW1 and became a member of the Berlin Sezession from 1918. His last exhibition was held in Berlin in 1964.
