Janina Ede

A colourful drawing for a book illustration (unpublished)? Possibly influenced in style by John Minton and similar artists of the 1950’s. Janine Ede studied illustration,engraving,lithography, typography at Winchester School of Art. She was commissioned by Penguin for book covers in the 1950’s and thereafter illustrated many books using various techniques including pen and ink,gouache, scraperboard and lithography.
