Printed on the full sheet of laid india paper with c. 8 cm margins all round, overall size of sheet c. 56 x 45 cm. Printed by Otto Felsing, Berlin and published by Amsler und Ruthardt, Berlin, the first edition was issued in 1889, this being plate number 8 from the series Opus Xlll Max Klinger took up etching in c. 1879. He issued most of his graphic work in sets which were titled Opus numbers. Many of these were re-issued in the years up to the 1920’s. More examples by this artist in stock.
