William Rothenstein

Printed on a sheet of cream laid paper c.38 x 25 cm. in black ink and signed and dated in the stone. This is a proof of a lithograph published in the 8th. album of L’Estampe Originale, Paris, in 1894 which was published in an edition of 100 copies. This print was commissioned from the artist whilst he was at the Academie Julian in Paris in 1893 but not executed until the following year.
