Eric George Fraser born in London 1902 studied under Walter Sickert at the Westminster School of Art and then at Goldsmith’s under E.J. Sullivan 1919-24. He taught at Camberwell School of Art 1928-40. He was a prolific illustrator of books and magazine’s and exhibited RA;SSA;RCA; Bibl; Eric Fraser: an Illustrator of our time (British Gas:1991).Horne:Peppin:Waters etc. This superb drawing is, in my opinion, unusual in Fraser’s work as it is more in the style of the British Neo-Romantic imagination of this period.
