This is the original design for the cover or title page for the portfolio “Modes Feminines du XlX Siecle” published by Editions de la Maison d’Art. Paris. A collection of 50 hand-coloured plates of mid nineteenth fashion. A unique design by this Belle Epoque artist from the turn of the century. Although prints by Henri Boutet come up for sale on occasion, original work by him seldom appears on the market.
